Aquaculture

Insect farming on the basis of residual waste streams holds great promise for sustainable aquaculture production. Traditionally, fishmeal has been used for farming aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, and shellfish. However, insect meal can be used to replace fishmeal for the production of fish feed, as its high protein content makes it very suitable for aquaculture purposes.
